Disney World dream comes true for nine-year-old girl this Christmas

Christmas came early for one nine-year-old girl and her family this year.

Gabriela Rodrigues, from Stanmore, and her family were treated to a dream holiday to Disney World in Florida earlier this month.

Gabriela has cerebral palsy, global development delay and epilepsy, and the charity Caudwell Children paid for her to enjoy a week away over the holiday season.

Two Harrow men fined more £3,000 after video store inspection uncovered 519 rogue titles

Harrow Times:

A video store manager and director have been prosecuted after trading standards officers uncovered rogues DVD titles including Tom and Jerry cartoons.

Rajagopal Deleepan, manager of South Harrow Video and Party Service on Northolt Road, and Gayatri Ramesh, the company’s director, were fined £800, and they were each ordered to pay £815 in costs - £3,230 in total.

Church’s £150,000 fundraising drive to help play ‘bigger role' at the heart of Harrow Weald community

A Reverend is hoping their new fundraising drive will help the church become even closer to people in the community.

The All Saints’ Church in Uxbridge Road, Harrow Weald, have recently launched a drive to raise £150,000, as part of the All Saints Serving Harrow project.

Harrow firefighters help London’s most vulnerable this Christmas

Firefighters are giving up their Christmas Day with their loved ones, to help cook a big meal for the most vulnerable members of their community and their carers this holiday.

The food is provided by the Co-op stores and volunteers from both the Brigade and Co-op will also be helping to cook.

Harrow's health group backs London Ambulance Service’s alcohol awareness campaign

Harrow’s Clinical Commissioning Group is backing the London Ambulance Service’s alcohol awareness campaign this Christmas.

The social media led campaign highlights the impact of alcohol-related calls on other ill and injure patients across the city.
