A Reverend is hoping their new fundraising drive will help the church become even closer to people in the community.

The All Saints’ Church in Uxbridge Road, Harrow Weald, have recently launched a drive to raise £150,000, as part of the All Saints Serving Harrow project.

The cost of the project is almost £2m and it is hoped that the £150,000 raised by the congregation will kick start future grants and donations.

This will allow the project to build on what has already been achieved, which includes the installation of a new, environmentally efficient gas boiler at Blackwell Hall, the building of a pond and outdoor classroom in the Church Woods, and the restoration of much of All Saints Butterfield mosaics and interior.

Rev James Mercer of All Saint’s Church, said: “All Saints Serving Harrow is an ambitious project and one that has been long in the making. The fund raising drive has received an amazing response from congregants.

“I am looking forward to building on what we have already achieved so that All Saints’ can expand its provision and play an even bigger role at the heart of the local community.”

The Church already hosts a number of community groups, and serves the community in a number of different roles including supporting a night shelter and foodbank.
