Watford last beat Arsenal at Vicarage Road on November 28, 1987. But that changed this afternoon when Tom Cleverley fired home in injury-time to seal a memorable come-from-behind victory that moved the Hornets up to fourth in the Premier League table.
The goal, the midfielder's first since he returned to the club, prompted some special scenes as Watford fans and players alike celebrated a dramatic winner after Troy Deeney's penalty had cancelled out Per Mertesacker's first-half goal.
Some images from the third game in a row in which the Hornets have scored late to improve their tally by a combined total of five points can be seen above.
