Harrow Borough left Sixfields with their heads held high as League One Northampton's class told in a 6-0 battering in the FA Cup first round.

The Boro's run to the first round, sealed with a memorable 3-1 win over National League South side Margate in October, was ended by a masterclass from Rob Page's side, with early goals from Paul Anderson and Marc Richards setting them on their way.

Nine minutes after half-time, Richards ended the game as a contest with a header before John-Joe O'Toole added a fourth.

The Cobblers extended their lead further in the final 10 minutes through former West Ham midfielder Matt Taylor, before JJ Hooper rounded off the scoring in stoppage time.

Harrow had started brightly before Anderson's opener and shortly before half-time, they nearly found a route back into the game when Josh Webb missed the target and Marc Charles-Smith tested Adam Smith.

It was one-way traffic after the break, however, but the 371 travelling fans never stopped singing - and applauded their players off despite the harsh scoreline.
