Ben Smith hopes to become a golf professional
Ben Smith has been crowned English Junior County champion.
The 17-year-old Harrow Weald golfer won the title at Woodhall Spa after birdies on the two closing holes gave him a six-under-par round of 67. Smith qualified for the competition after becoming Herts junior champion.
Smith, who is a member at Sandy Lodge golf club, said: "It is a big plus to win a national title, it will help me progress to my goal of being a tour professional."
