Bessborough set up a winner-takes-all relegation decider next week against Harrow by thrashing Kenton by nine wickets on Saturday.

Winning the toss, Bessborough skipper Sherrick Chavda inserted the visitors on a damp wicket and Sharuban Kanthasamy (three for 28) took opener Rajiv Soneji for a single run.

The pace of Kanthasamy and Neal Patel (five for 20) continued to rip into Kenton’s line-up as they were demolished for just 55 in 22 overs.

In reply, the hosts coasted to victory in just 16 overs as Ishan Shah (17) and Ramesh Gunalan (29) ended the day not-out.

Bessborough Seconds were also victorious as they won by four wickets at Ickenham.

Rohan Desai was in inspired form with the ball as he claimed a club-best seven for 53 to help dismiss Ickenham for 147.

The visitors completed the job in 25 overs in main thanks to Jigar Shah (65), Tharshan Kanagaraj (43) and Philip Bush (34).

The Thirds completed the hat-trick of wins for Bessborough and ensured their promotion charge will go to the wire as beat Richmond by six wickets.

Richmond were bowled out for 143 before home skipper Ian Ridley (37) and vice-captain Sahil Hathi (42) shouldered most of the responsibility to reach the target after 25 overs.

Bessborough Fourths could not complete the clean-sweep of wins for the club, though, as Southgate picked up a 20-run success.

Despite limiting their opponents to 156, Bessborough fell short as they were bowled out for 136.
