William Shakespeare is widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language.
With a status that legendary, it’s no surprise Shakespeare has a day in honour of him and to celebrate his birthday on April 23, we are running our annual Shake-Up Shakespeare competition for seven to 11-year-olds and primary schools across the country.
Whether you are inspired to write a Shakespearean sonnet, or a poem based on Shakespeare’s work or life, why not have a go at following in the footsteps of this wonderful poet and writer?
There are great new prizes up for grabs, including a class visit to the Shakespeare Centre and Shakespeare -themed books for the best pupils.
Shake-Up Shakespeare is free to enter and the closing date is May 9, 2015.
