Everyone Active, which operates Harrow leisure centre and Hatch End swimming pool in partnership with Harrow Borough Council, has been named facility operator of the year at this year’s Amateur Swimming Association’s awards.

This is the fourth time Everyone Active has scooped the accolade.

Areas assessed include the progress of children enrolled on swimming lessons at its facilities; the range of products and services delivered and teacher training and development.

Everyone Active is one of the largest providers of swimming lessons in the UK and teaches more than 70,000 children and adults to swim every week.

There are currently more than 2,700 customers enrolled on swimming lessons at Harrow leisure centre and Hatch End swimming pool.

Everyone Active is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of all our communities and its swimming programme is a huge part of this.

The ASA’s third annual school swimming census recently revealed that 45 per cent of children between the ages of seven and 11 are unable to swim 25 metres.

Everyone Active will strive to reduce this figure going forward by encouraging as many children — and adults — as possible to learn this important life skill and get active through swimming.

With a range of sessions available for both social and health and fitness purposes, our pools are popular amongst all ages and communities in the borough.

Well done to all staff at Everyone Active who has helped achieve this through their continuous hard work and commitment.
