Hi again everyone, Well it has been a busy but rewarding week for me. I have been working on a project that the Met is delivering along with the fire brigade and teachers to primary schools called 'Miss Dorothy.com'

What's that about I can hear you say? Well to be honest I knew nothing about it either, until earlier this year when I was summoned upstairs to see my boss. Having been marched into his office by his PA I stood bolt upright and trembling in front of him. 'Anderson' he said 'I want you to handle this Miss Dorothy project, here is the paperwork, now get on with it' Smartly saluting I said 'yes sir, right away sir' and walked out thinking - what's this?

I have to say that the more I found out the more I liked it. The programme is aimed at primary school pupils in years 5,6, and 7. A series of workbooks and projects follow the adventures of Dot Com and her friends. It promotes community values, healthy eating, anti-bullying, and seeing professionals such as the police and fire service in a postive light. It is delivered by teachers with the active support of community support officers.

Twelve schools will be taking part in Brent and it will be launched early in the new year following a training day in November.

Watch this space to find out more as the launch date approaches.
