Swimmers dipped their toes into fundraising as a leisure centre hosted a swimathon.

Harrow Leisure Centre, operated by Everyone Active in partnership with Harrow Council, took part in the World’s Biggest Swim to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

A total of 20 swimmers took part, with individuals choosing from 1.5K, 2.5K or 5K distances and teams of swimmers swimming either 1.5K or 5K.

Participants in the event at Harrow Leisure Centre joined thousands of swimmers around the country in making a splash and raising money for the charity.

The total sum raised by the centre and all of sports operator Everyone Active's customers around the country will be revealed by Swimathon in May.
