MORE than 200 people listened to spiritualist guru Dadi Janki talk about her extraordinary life at her 90th birthday party at Kodak's Eastman's Hall in Harrow View, Wealdstone on January 19.
Mrs Janki, administrative head of Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University (BKWSU), gave a lecture called Healing the Past and Creating a Beautiful Present to an audience which included the Mayor of Harrow, Councillor Paddy Lyne, and Councillors Vina Mithani and Raj Ray.
There was singing, dancing and an introduction by Councillor Lyne before Mrs Janki captivated her guests for an hour.
The evening ended with questions and answers and a meditation commentary.
Mrs Janki also gave guests a blessing and special sweet for attending her birthday bash.
The nonagenarian presides over a worldwide student population of 600,000 spread across 90 countries.
The BKWSU has more than 7,000 centres.
A member of the United Nations' Keepers of Wisdom, Dadi travels the world in her quest for peace.
