Councillor Robert Benson
A HARROW Weald councillor has been charged with sexual indecency in a public toilet.
Tory Councillor Robert Benson, of Brockleyside, Stanmore, appeared at Harrow Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 18, after being charged the previous day.
He is accused of engaging in a sex act with a 56-year-old man in a Rayners Lane toilet.
The 41-year-old has been a councillor since 2006 and is on a number of committees. He has been known to chair licensing panel hearings.
He has been released on bail and is due at Wimbledon Magistrates Court, on Wednesday, July 30.
