A bar has been ordered to tighten up its security after a 21-year-old was stabbed to death.
Josh Hanson, of Kingsbury, died outside the RE Bar in Field End Lane, Eastcote, in the early hours of October 11.
Hillingdon Council conducted a full review into the venues licence after previously imposing temporary rules.
Under the new terms, the bar must:
• Employ two bouncers every Friday and Saturday and on any event nights from 8pm until close.
• Refuse new customers after midnight on Fridays, Saturdays and any event nights.
• Search all customers’ bags and use a weapons wand before allowing entry.
• Record all activity at the venue’s entrance using CCTV cameras.
• Capture the images of all customers as they enter the venue.
• Agree a plan with the police on how to store and dispose of any illegal drugs, weapons and other banned items that have been confiscated.
• Regularly train staff on the new policies.
Detectives are offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to the whereabouts of suspect 27-year-old Shane O’Brien, which featured on BBC1’s Crimewatch programme last week.
The programme revealed for the first time that the wanted man is also known as ‘Troy’ and has a tattoo saying ‘Shannon’ on his back.
Witnesses or anyone with information should call the incident room on 020 8785 8099 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
