A Wembley man is one of two people to be charged with the murder of businesswoman Carole Waugh and will appear in court tomorrow.

Unemployed Rakesh Bhayani, 40, of Chamberlayne Avenue, and Nicholas Kutner, 47, of no fixed abode, are accused of killing the 50-year-old oil executive, whose body was found in a lock-up garage in New Malden two weeks ago.

The duo will appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.

Miss Waugh, originally from Durham but living in London, had not been seen by her family since mid-April. She had lived and worked in Libya for a number of years, but returned to London in 2008.

Police say hundreds of thousands of pounds has been plundered from her estate and have arrested twelve people over the case.

Bhayani has already appeared in court charged with three counts of conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation, relating to transactions associated with Ms Waugh's identity worth approximately £280,000.

He appeared via video link at Westminster Magistrates' Court on July 24 and was remanded in custody. He will next appear at Southwark Crown Court on September 25.

Kutner was arrested for Miss Waugh’s kidnap and murder two weeks ago. He also faces four fraud charges, including pretending to be Miss Waugh’s brother in a bid to sell her London home, and appeared in court last week.
