A Stanmore based charity beat hundreds of other applicants to win a prestigious cash prize.
Norwood, based in The Broadway, supports children and adults with learning difficulties.
The charity won just under £13,000 from the Ruderman Prize in Disability on Monday, for its work in promoting public awareness for Jewish people with disabilities.
Elaine Kerr, Norwood’s Chief Executive, said the they were “honoured” to be selected.
“This award is significant as it will help raise awareness of the importance of inclusion for people with disabilities, as well as showcasing the numerous innovative services Norwood provides for the many thousands of vulnerable children and adults we support.”
