MP Gareth Thomas will take to the streets of Harrow to launch his Save our Cells campaign tomorrow.

The politician was angry to learn there are plans to merge the borough’s custody suites with Brent’s. He fears that transporting arrested people out of Harrow would leave the borough with “less resources and capacity to combat crime”.

His campaign is also being backed by Navin Shah, GLA Member from Brent and Harrow.

The pair will be joined by other politicians and residents outside Harrow Police Station, in Northolt Road, from 10.45am. They will hand out leaflets and ask people to sign their petition.
