A HARROW councillor has been elected to another seat on Central Bedfordshire Council.
Mark Versallion does not live in Harrow and now represents both Stanmore Park and Heath and Reach, where he lives, after winning the ward for the Tories last night.
In April he told the Harrow Times: “We will have to see after May 5 what will happen. I have to get elected first.
“I’ve said consistently that I will be guided by the association as to what to do but I would stand down if advised to do so.
“I’ve given a significant amount of my life to public service and spent over 20 years of my life in the area, buying my first house, getting married and spending my formative years in Harrow.
“I would be sad to stand down but I have to wait for the election result and then see what I am advised to do.”
Councillor Barry Macleod-Cullinane, deputy leader of Cllr Versallion's party, said: “I hope he honours his statement made to the Harrow Times on April 28, his commitment to the people of Harrow and the residents of Stanmore Park, if called upon by the association.”
