A BRENT MP described the new Labour leader as "incredibly talented and very nice" today.

Barry Gardiner, MP for Brent North, praised Ed Miliband after he beat his brother and bookies favourite David Miliband to the top job on Saturday.

Mr Gardiner said: “So many of us who voted one way or the other could easily have voted the other way. The difference between them is a matter of nuance.

“Everyone now is backing Ed. I think it's superb that right across the party there's been none of the old style recriminations and finger-pointing.”

He added: “We've got a great new leader who is incredibly talented and very nice. Everyone is now uniting behind him and it's exactly as it should be.”
