TWO teenagers from Harrow have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
The men, both 18-years-old, are being questioned by detectives on suspicion of going equipped to commit a burglary and conspiracy to burgle after a stash of jewellery was recovered by Herts Police.
Officers are now appealing for help tracing the owner of the jewellery who they believe is from the Rickmansworth area.
The items include an old gold lady's chain bracelet, a selection of gold charms including one in the shape of a scooter, two silver baby bangles, silver hat pins, broaches - one with a swallow on it - and a small leather box with a gold lock.
Detectives have also recovered a travel clock and a pink iPod Nano.
Detective Constable Colin Cantellow, who is leading the investigation, said: “This jewellery looks quite old in style and no doubt has considerable sentimental if not material value, so I am sure they are missed.”
Anyone with information can call DC Cantellow on 0845 33 00 222, or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
