A GRIME singer who grew up on the streets of Wembley has joined the latest batch of celebrities on Big Brother.

Lady Sovereign, real name Louise Harman, walked into the famous TV house this evening at the start of the last series of the hit show.

The singer grew up on the Chalkhill Estate in Wembley, and is famous as a young woman who built herself a music career from scratch.

She started making music in her bedroom as a teenager and reportedly uploaded her first raps to a fans forum for So Solid Crew.

She was kicked out of Preston Manor High School just before she was due to take her GCSE because of poor attendance and threw herself into her music career.

She shot to fame when she was signed to rap superstar Jay Z's record label after reportedly being asked to perform on the spot for him.

With hits including Love Me or Hate Me and Hoodie, Lady Sovereign is now one of the most well-known female grime artists around.

The 24-year-old introduced her this evening as Sov to fellow housemates including R&B singer Sisqo, footballer turned movie star Vinnie Jones, and glamour model Nicola T.

They will all now spend up to 27 days and nights in the famous house, gradually booted out via votes from the public.
