A HARROW private members bar has been busted for having a bogus guest book and breaking the terms of its licence.

Ruby M's in Alexandra Avenue has been fined £5,000 after undercover Harrow Council officers caught staff breaking the rules by not checking who was coming in and out.

The guest book was filled with names like “Robert Redford, “Al Pacino”, and “Jaws”, and officers suspected the owners were not following the rules set out in their licence.

Owners Umesh and Grisha Jivraj, of Woodbury Avenue, North Harrow, admitted the breach at Harrow Magistrates Court on Friday, February 13, and were hit with £2,500 fines and costs each.

They had been warned two years earlier about the same offence when uncover police caught them letting in non-members and serving them drinks.

The club had been given its licence to sell alcohol, put on entertainment, and have gambling machines on the condition only paid up members are allowed in.
