Knebworth Park II 136 Old Finchleians 109
Saracens Herts League Division Two
Without the Pope brothers and Chris Edler, Old Finchleians batting line-up appeared fragile and so it proved.
The bowlers did their bit, with Alan Dudman (5-24) and Paresh Somani (4-54) starring to dismiss the home side for 136.
On a good wicket, OFs were in serious trouble at 9-4. The lower order almost rescued the situation again, but OFs were all out for 109 (Merryweather 28, Dutton 24, Carpenter 21).
Club president Mick Wiffen brought his President's XI to Southover for the annual match on Sunday. They dismissed OFs for 167 (Fatani 34, Dutton 34).
Peter Sogbodjor contributed a quickfire 44 but was outshone by Manish Rawal (66). Janu Mehta's 6-49 was man-of-the-match as the President's XI won by five wickets.
On Saturday, Finchleians are home to Welwyn Garden City II.
