TIMES series publisher Newsquest has struck a deal with The Press Association which will see the Harrow Times website enriched with a host of multimedia content.

The deal encompasses text, photos, video and interactive graphics for use on Newsquest's weekly and daily newspaper sites including www.harrowtimes.co.uk.

This will include around 25 video clips a week gathered by PA video journalists.

Newsquest will use content from PA to create multimedia news packages around the day's top national news, sport and entertainment stories, alongside the Harrow Times' locally generated words, pictures and video.

Margaret Strayton, Newsquest group editorial manager, said: "We are delighted to be working with PA on this service and growing our online audience. We understand that shifting media usage patterns is essential to developing the right product.

"We believe this national package will complement our ultra-local packages with up-to-the minute information and variety of viewpoints to be key.

"We know that consumers of news and information are increasingly becoming 'news grazers' sampling a veritable media buffet throughout the day.

"There is a seismic shift in the media marketplace and Newsquest is transforming its culture to meet this challenge."
