A CHARITY is teaming up with local councillors in an effort to raise thousands of pounds for cyclone victims in Bangladesh.
The Bengali Association of Harrow and the labour group on Harrow Council are jointly hosting a music and dance event as part of a campaign to raise £30,000 for a new school in the affected area.
Slides of the damage done by the cyclone will also be shown at the event.
Councillor Thaya Idaikkadar, who will be at the fund raiser, said: "It is not only about raising funds it is about bringing all the community together."
It will be at the Zoroastrian Centre, in Alexandra Avenue, Rayners Lane, on Sunday, January 27, at 6pm and tickets are £15.
