A 90-year-old grandfather was heartbroken after thieves broke into his home and stole jewellery belonging to his late wife.
Walter Brown, who lives in Northolt, was burgled on Friday, February 17.
His back door was broken open and 51 sovereign coins that Walter had been collecting for 25 years were taken.
A distinctive gold necklace with a gold Concorde pendant was also stolen, as well as rings and bangles belonging to his wife of 50 years.
He said: “The jewellery is of incredible sentimental value, especially the gold Concorde necklace, as there weren’t many made but I managed to find one for her.”
The stolen items include a name plate bracelet, a bar gate bracelet, a white gold solitaire diamond ring and platinum diamond solitaire ring, as well as a ladies gold Omega watch, and with a gold Victoria sovereign and chain.
Call police on 101 with information.
