A high street has closed today after a father-of-two was stabbed to death.

Mohammed Al-zufairi was attacked outside the Halifax bank on High Street, Wealdstone, at 6.50pm last night.

The 34-year-old was taken to a central London hospital but died at 2.30am this morning.

Police sealed off a 50 yard stretch of the high street early this morning as their forensics team searched for clues.

The shops will be closed and buses will be diverted for the rest of the day.

It is not known when it will reopen.

A witness, who did not want to be named, said: “I wanted to go shopping this morning, but saw all the shops were closed and couldn’t catch a bus out of there.

“There is a huge police tent, which nobody is allowed to go near, so I think people should avoid this part of town today.”

There have been no arrests.
