Harrow is the safest borough in London, according to new crime figures from the Met Police.
Crime figures from the Met Police show that 2198 crimes in the ‘violence against a person’ category were committed in 2016 so far, compared with 3,954 in neighboring borough Barnet.
Under the theft and handling category, it reported a total of 2,419 crimes and 8 in total under fraud and forgery were reported in Harrow.
The Greenhill ward reported highest number of violent crimes against another person with 50 reported up to August 2016.
A total of 50 reported theft and handling crimes and 134 other notable offences were reported in the Greenhill area.
Chief Superintendent Simon Ovens said: "Once again, in September, Harrow is the safest borough in the whole of London. The crime stats have just come out, the amount of crime per 1,000 population, and once again we are the lowest beating places like Sutton, Burton, Bromley and Bexley.
"This is due to the fantastic work of my officers and the ongoing amazing support we are getting form all the communities here in Harrow. So, feel very very safe because you live in the safest borough in the whole of London."
