POLICE are appealing for information about the whereabouts of a man in connection with an incident in which a van driver was attacked with a samurai sword.
Police want to speak to Damien Foley in connection with the attack on January 4, which left a 43-year-old van driver needing hospital treatment after he was stabbed several times in the leg.
The attacker is believed to have approached the victim's van and smashed the window before stabbing him with a Samurai sword.
The victim was stabbed several times in his right leg and sustained serious injuries. After the attacker made off in the white Ford Transit van, the victim managed to get to a shop nearby where he called for help before collapsing.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and the victim was taken via air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital where he underwent surgery to repair the damage to his leg.
DC Steve Machin, of Brent CID said: "We would like to speak to Damien Foley in connection with this investigation. We are appealing for anyone who knows Mr Foley, or knows where he may be, to contact Brent CID on 020 8733 3159 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
