A man has been arrested in connection with two armed robberies after handing himself in to police.
The first incident took place at a bookmaker on College Hill Road, Harrow, on May 31, and the second at a similar shop on Court Parade in Wembley on June 4. Both times, a weapon was used.
A 41-year-old man handed himself in at a Harrow police station on Monday and was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery. He remains in custody.
Prior to the man’s arrest, detectives from the Met’s Flying Squad had appealed for the public’s help in tracing a suspect linked to the two robberies.
