POLICE officers turned into midwives when they delivered a baby boy on the side of the road.
Little Alex came into the word in Kenton Road, Harrow, at around 1.30pm yesterday (March 28) thanks to the quick-thinking actions of the two detectives.
They were driving down the road when a van driver flagged them down and told them the woman was in labour.
He was wrapped in a Metropolitan Police fleece to keep him warm before being taken to a north London Hospital.
