A Harrow karate club is celebrating several victories at a national competition.

Harrow Shotokan sent a team of four competitors to the Japan Shotokan Karate Association UK Championship on February 27 at the Ash Manor Sports Centre.

The competition saw clubs from England, Scotland and Wales compete for UK titles.

The Harrow club, which train at Trinity Church in Hindes Road, had four individual winners and also took home the overall team title.

Daniela Nastuta won the 13 to 16 Coloured Belt Kata (forms) and Kumite (sparring).

Rohan Mathiyalagan won silver in Kata and bronze in Kumite in the black belt male 16 to 18 category.

Nicholas Jones won the men's black belt kumite and Shyam Raithatha won the over 30 mens kata.
