Reader Roger Kingswell in this photograph of a VE Day street party in Elmgrove Gardens, Harrow, 1945.
He says: "This photograph was taken outside number 46 Elmgrove Gardens where my grandparents lived and the party was actually held in the road - which was a lot narrower in those days (note the wide pavements).
"My grandparents were Jim (Pop) and Dorris Hall. In the photograph they and my aunt Betty (their youngest daughter) can be seen as follows:
"Betty Hall, second girl in from the left sitting at the table, Dorris Hall, fourth lady in from the left back row, Jim Hall, second man wearing a white shirt and tie on left of clown in the middle of the back row.
"Jim and Dorris had two other daughters, my mother Joan, and Kathleen Hall.
"I thought many people in the photo may well be recognised by some of your readers."
