A cyclist died after a collision involving a car.

Police were called to reports of a serious crash in Forward Drive, Harrow at midnight last night by London Ambulance Service.

Officers attended and found a 50-year-old cyclist suffering from serious head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1am.

The driver of the car, a 30-year-old man, stopped at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been taken to a north London police station for questioning.
