Nurses and schoolchildren joined together to mark International Nurses Day.
To celebrate the day, which honours the hard work of nurses across the globe, the team at The Clementine Churchill Hospital visited St George’s Primary School, in Sudbury Hill, Harrow, to give an assembly on nursing.
Staff at the hospital, also in Sudbury Hill, were also treated to an afternoon lunch with cakes and treats in recognition of their dedication to the hospital.
Director of nursing Dr Lorraine Kelly said: “International Nurses Day gives us all a chance to reflect on the career of Florence Nightingale and the vital role modern nurses play in the UK and international healthcare profession.
“Nursing is a profession that is driven by continual professional development to improve the knowledge of our staff and ultimately the care we provide to our patients.”
