A satellite TV engineer accused of stabbing a woman to death will face trial in June.

Trevor Gibbon, of Windsor Crescent, Harrow, is charged with killing 45-year-old mother Alison Morrison as she walked to work in Harrow.

Neighbours reported hearing piercing screams and police were called to Alexandra Avenue at 7.47am on December 18.

Mrs Morrison, senior manager for consumer charity Which? And vice-chairman of the Harrow Safer Neighbourhood Board, suffered at least 35 knife wounds in the attack.

She was taken to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, west London, where she died from her injuries.

Mr Gibbon appeared at the Old Bailey on April 13 by video link from Wormwood Scrubs prison for a case management hearing, and is due to stand trial at the court on June 15.
