The new chief executive of the Charity Commission visited a charity after it won a national award.
Paula Sussex visited Pinner-based charity Friends for Friends after it won the everyday impact award at the Directory of Social Change Awards in London at the end of last year.
Friends for Friends, which aims to support and improve the quality of life of people with a learning disability, was recognised for its exceptional achievements at the ceremony.
Trustee Peter Kelly said: “We were extremely honoured that Paula Sussex came to visit Friends for Friends recently.
“Out of thousands of charities, Paula chose to visit us and spend time meeting with members of the community and learning more about what the organisation does.
"To win an award at the Directory of Social Change Awards was incredible and to have Paula come to our offices and see first hand the difference Friends for Friends is making for those with learning difficulties in the local area, was the icing on the cake.
“We can't thank Paula enough for her generosity."
