Morris dancers saw in the New Year with a special performance on the streets of Paris.
Since the Merrydowners dancers first performed at St Alban’s Church, in North Harrow, 25 years ago, the group have taken their dancing all around the world.
While 2014 saw them perform in their tenth London New Year’s Day Parade, this year the group welcomed in the New Year in Paris.
Travelling by car and coach, New Year’s Day saw them arrive at Place de la Concorde in Paris to take part in the parade at 2pm.
The four kilometre route took the dancers up the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe and back to La Place de la Concorde.
Bagman Tony Moore said the group “took the crowds by storm, getting the public up and involved”, adding it was a great way to start their 25th year.
