A warehouse worker was jailed for 32 months for possession of more than £3,500 worth of drugs.

Orlando Oakley, of Hillside Crescent, South Harrow, pleaded guilty at Harrow Crown Court on Wednesday, 17 December to possession with intent to supply class A drugs and was sentenced to 32 months at a young offenders’ institute.

The court heard how officers from Harrow watched Mr Oakley post an envelope into his home address on November 26 at 2.40pm.

The 19-year-old then ran off and was later detained by officers in Roxeth Green Avenue.

He was arrested for possession of more than £3,500 worth of drugs and a search of his home revealed 80 wraps of cocaine and heroin posted through his letterbox and a pillow case stashed full of heroin and cocaine.

Sergeant Mark Young from Harrow CID said: “Harrow CID has been successful in disrupting and curtailing a major crack cocaine supply chain.

“Oakley's activities had a devastating effect on the local community. They can be assured that we will continue to work with partner agencies to tackle the menace of drugs and drug related crime."
