A charity which helps disabled people live an independent life has been shortlisted for an award.
Walsingham, in High Street, Barnet, is up for the Winifred Tumim Memorial Prize, awarded by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations.
It recognises the volunteers who give up their time to make sure the charity runs in a “responsible and effective” way.
Paul Snell, chief executive of Walsingham, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for the Winifred Tumim Memorial Prize.
“The past year has seen our Board of Trustees go through considerable changes in our pursuit to attain best practice in charity governance. We remain inspired to improve governance at Walsingham.”
