Staff and governors at a school have welcomed another bumper year of GCSE results.
Pupils at Harrow High School, in Gayton Road, Harrow, have been celebrating today after getting their GCSE results.
Headteacher Paul Gamble said: "Our learners know, and are encouraged to believe, they can be successful with the help of our dedicated staff. We are immensely proud of all of them."
Chairman of governors John Courquin said: "The governing body is very happy with the continued high standards of learners' attainment.
"This is a result of continuing excellence in teaching and commitment by our learners."
Happy pupil Dalia Abboud got an A* and eight As and a distinction in BTEC sport and will be going on to study chemistry, biology, economics and maths at A-Level.
Advising other pupils, the 16-year-old said: "Work from day one, work hard for the mocks, use past papers and make notes from the beginning."
Another pupil, Henil Soni, 16, said she was "shell-shocked but feeling good" about her results after getting two A*s and eight As.
Another successful pupil was Shahil Patel, who got an A* and seven As and will be going on to study A-levels in maths, further maths, physics and economics at Harrow High School sixth form.
The school said for this year 55 per cent of pupils achieved at least five GCSEs at grades A* to C including English and maths.
