A scout hut home to a children’s group has been given a new lease of life thanks to supermarket staff volunteers.
Tesco workers have been sprucing up the scout hut at St Andrew’s Church, in Harrow Road, on the Harrow and Brent border.
The new improved hut was revealed to the Daniel’s Den children’s group, which uses the site, yesterday.
Improvements include new disabled access, an outside bus shelter for buggies and a complete landscaping surrounding area.
Joanna Gordon who runs the children’s group said: “The way in which Tesco has just embraced supporting the community through the makeover of the hut, not just with words but action, has been overwhelming.”
