Fire investigators are working to establish the cause of a huge warehouse blaze in Whetstone last night.
Six fire engines and 35 firefighters were sent to tackle the blaze at a number of connected derelict warehouses behind Allum Way at 9.30pm.
Witnesses reported seeing 40ft flames raging above the buildings, and smoke could be seen billowing into the sky from miles away.
The fire brigade received 61 calls about the fire, which damaged half of the single-storey warehouses.
London Ambulance Service had its hazardous area response team on standby last night, but no-one was reported injured and no nearby houses had to be evacuated.
Police also closed Totteridge Lane for almost an hour after the incident was reported.
Crews from Finchley, Hendon, Barnet and Southgate had the blaze under control by 1.05am this morning.
