Man to be sentenced for Harrow town centre stabbing

A man is due to be sentenced for stabbing a teenager in the middle of a busy shopping street.

Last month Andre MacCarthy, 20, of Francis Road, Harrow, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent after stabbing a teenage boy in St Anns Road in September last year.

Sentencing was due to take place on Tuesday but the hearing was adjourned until today to get a medical report on the victim’s injury.

MacCarthy is due to be sentenced at Harrow Crown Court this morning.
