Hundreds of people gathered to find out about the latest employment opportunities in the area at a jobs fair.

Jobseekers attended Harrow Borough Council’s job fair where they found out about where work was available and where they could get training to acquire new skills.

Among employers exhibiting at the event were Care UK, Care Mark, Gentlecare, Crown Moran Hotels, Avon and Kay Cosmetics.

There were also stalls from Harrow and Stanmore Colleges, Learndirect and Adult Community Learning for people to find out more about training opportunities available.

Cabinet member for business Kamaljit Chana said: “I am pleased that so many attended the job fair today. It shows how many residents are out there looking for work and training opportunities.

“Supporting residents is a top priority for the council and the Xcite job fair gives a helping hand for anyone looking for expert help and advice with direct contact with employers and training providers.”
