An annual Hindu festival is well under way with hundreds from across the borough due to join in the celebrations.
Hindus from the International Siddhasram Shakti Centre, in Palmerston Road, and other temples have been celebrating the Navratri at Harrow Leisure Centre, in Christchurch Avenue.
Navratri literally means 'nine days' and is an important date in the Hindu calendar, symbolising the triumph of good over evil.
Hindus from across the world celebrate the festival each year at the beginning of October around Harvest time.
Each night of the festival those taking part wear traditional cloths and jewellery and perform a number of dances to mark the festival.
