An engineering student was presented with an achievement award by a former X-Factor star.
Harrow teenager Vijay Kerai, who studies at Uxbridge College, was chosen for the Star Award in mechanical and electronic engineering.
Singer Ashley John-Baptiste presented the student with the award, which was given to him because of his excellent attitude and determination to succeed.
The 18-year-old has completed his Level 2 and is now in his first year of Level 3 in mechanical engineering, with distinctions in every subject and 100 per cent attendance and punctuality.
