A woman raced up 38 floors of one of the capital’s most famous landmarks to raise money for charity.
Phoebe Lau, from Harrow, took on the Gherkin Challenge and managed to raise £220 for the NSPCC along 500 other runners.
The 23-year-old marketing executive ran up the 1,037 stairs on Sunday in eight minutes eight seconds and was rewarded with stunning views across London at the top.
She said: "The highlight for me was just raising the amount that I have. I wasn’t sure how much I’d raise so that was really exciting. It’s definitely worth it for the view, it’s so beautiful up there.”
The charity hopes to have raised more than £150,000 from the event which will be go towards protecting vulnerable children in the UK.
