Network Auctions’ October sale at Hatfield House brought the company’s total property sales to an impressive £70 million.

The auction room saw lively and competitive bidding for the 26 lots on offer – some from as far afield as Avon, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Cambridgeshire.

“This penultimate auction of the year was a real mixed bag of results, but overall we were happy as it also saw an increasing number of lots entered from new members of our fast-growing organisation,” says Toby Limbrick, Director of Network Auctions.

The sale started with what turned out to be the most competitive lot of the day. A three-bedroom semi in Hayes, Middlesex which requires modernisation made a tremendous 32 per cent above the guide price – selling for £211,500.

A first for Network Auctions was an equine property in rural St Neots – a freehold stable yard and paddocks of around eight acres, went for the guide price of £205,000; providing a ready-made business for the purchaser.

Back in the capital, an interesting lot in Belgravia of a leasehold ground rent on a block of 21 flats saw a happy investor bid 18.5 per cent over guide price at £148,000.
