The daughter of Watford owner Gianpaolo Pozzo, Magda, has hinted that she is looking to offer naming rights to Vicarage Road.
In an interview with Italian publication Tuttosport, she said that she was looking at ways in which she could promote both Watford and Udinese, the other club owned by the Pozzo family.
She discussed the impact of sponsorship at the Serie A club and suggested that stadium naming rights could be offered at the Vic.
“Nowadays, football can no longer just provide visibility but must offer something else,” she said.
“We have relationships of medium to long duration: Renault has been with us for 11 years, Vortice for five.
“Among other things, with Watford, I am promoting synergies in the interests of the sponsors of the two clubs, which have different target markets.
“After all, we are the only European family that owns two top flight clubs. In Italy, we were the first to sponsor the name of the stadium, and I want to do the same with Watford.”
