Ken Sema has insisted that Watford are 'back' after their 3-2 win over Stoke City.

The Hornets had put together an unenviable three-game winless run prior to the victory over the Potters, but Sema insists that they are now a team to be reckoned with once again.

The victory lifted them up to fourth in the Championship table, as they look to gain promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Harrow Times:

The Swedish international is hoping the victory is a sign of things to come.

“We are now back, we are back,”he told the club website after the game. “Hopefully we can show the same in the next one and the next one. It feels good now. We are back for sure.”

Sema played no small part in Watford getting the victory, providing the assist for Ismaila Sarr to score the winning goal.

However, he was reluctant to discuss his own performance an instead praised Sarr for converting the chance and his teammates for showing the spirit required to get three points from a very difficult and at times dramatic fixture.

“I like playing until the end,” he said. “I had the chance to go one-v-one and I did. I saw Sarr and he scored. I'm so happy for the win and for Isma. He's good, you know. He's fast, really quick and he can score goals. He's a good player.

Harrow Times:

“It's all about the team. It's not about me or someone else. It's all about the team and the team spirit we showed. I'm really happy with the win. We deserved the win for sure.”

The winger's performance drew praise from his captain, Tom Cleverley, who said Sema and Kiko Femenia, who was deployed on the opposite side of the pitch, were "fantastic" on the night.

“I thought Ken and Kiko [Femenía] were fantastic,” said Cleverley. “They did their defensive duties and were a good attacking outlet for us. Ken deserves a lot of credit.”
